EDMONTON – Defending his response to Alberta’s deadly pandemic, Oakville, Ontario native Jason Kenney is labelling any criticism directed at him or his government as “Alberta Bashing.”
The ex-pat of the most populous province who grew up in Saskatchewan said that his response was more than adequate.
“The media wouldn’t be accusing me of incompetence if there weren’t so many hard-working Albertans working in the oil and gas industry,” said Kenney referring to the many Newfoundlanders and Nova Scotians who work on the rigs.
The elected official, who attended a private Jesuit college in San Francisco instead of the University of Alberta or UofC, sermoned about the collective strength and free-speech principles of Canada’s richest province.
“What the rest of Canada doesn’t understand is that Albertans believe in freedoms for everyone, except for protests against the pipelines,” added Kenney.
Meanwhile, Alberta Health Services was reminding residents to keep as far away from each other like Kenney does from a Pride Parade.
