Everything freedom loving Conservatives have banned Canadians from doing in recent years

Pierre and the Conservatives plan to make the freest country in the world if (ok once) they get into power. In unrelated here is a list of everything Conservatives currently in power provincially have banned Canadians from doing.

1. Using a name and pronouns that reflects their gender identity in (Alberta, , )

Trans kids had too good in public school anyway.

2. Wearing a in the legislature, even if they are just visiting ()

If enough of your people get killed, wearing a garment associated with your nationality becomes political you see.

3. Learning about ways to prevent being sexually assaulted (Saskatchewan)

can still arrange for their children to take these sexual education courses privately, so it’s only the vulnerable, less protected children who will be left without the knowledge!

4. Playing sports while Trans (Alberta)

In fairness did promise to set up leagues for Trans athletes, which will definitely happen and wasn’t at all bullshit.

5. Helping drug addicts by giving them tools they need to avoid infection (Saskatchewan)

Giving addicts clean equipment to use for taking drugs only ensures that they will take more drugs is a talking point that we’re still using even though it was debunked 30 years ago.

6. Placing renewable energy projects on their own land (Alberta)

Not on public land. On private land. But only when it would block the pristine views of the wildfires that are getting worse every year for some reason.

7. Taking puberty blockers before puberty occurs (Alberta)

It’s like telling someone they can have a glass of water once they’re no longer thirsty.

8. Wearing a visible religious symbol while working for the public sector (Quebec)

Ending on a classic! But just because it’s been a couple years since Quebec announced that practicing Muslims, Sikhs and Jews could not work for the biggest employer in the province doesn’t make it any less fucked.

And that’s our list. Well actually there was a bunch more we could have included but you get the point. In fairness these bans were only done at the provincial level. What are the odds Pierre Poilievre and the federal Conservatives follow suit?
