WASHINGTON D.C. – As President Trump threatens to tariffs due to smoke from Canadian wildfires, he is also lambasting Prime Minister Carney over failure to pay for American smoke crossing over into British Columbia.
With wildfires south of the border sending smoke north, leading to air quality warnings in regions of B.C., Trump unloaded on “Canadian smoke mooching”.
“We are holding Canada responsible for the United States being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air, the quality of which is dangerous, and totally unacceptable!” Trump posted to Truth Social while wandering onto the FIFA World Cup victory stage. “At the same time, how dare Canada try to rip America off by not paying for our big, beautiful wildfire smoke that they are lucky to have crossing into their British Columbia skies! PAY UP!”
The President went on to accuse Canadians of “freeloading for years” off of hardworking Americans’ wildfire smoke, demanding years of back payments to be made in TrumpCoin directly to his son’s cryptocurrency exchange.
“You can add your smoke payment to the tariffs you’re paying directly to the U.S. Treasury, which is definitely how tariffs work,” Trump added.
U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra also accused Canadians of stealing high quality American wildfire smoke, but stopped short of suggested a specific remedy until he nailed down which billionaire Trump donor was willing pay him the highest bribe.
In a follow up post Trump took shots at Canadian Air Force pilots who recently saved 11 stranded Minnesota teens, demanding they return the evacuees directly back into the wildfires until any and all tariffs are paid in full.
