Winkler, MB — Admitting that they didn’t much care for any of the other televised sporting events, the nation’s mothers told reporters this week that they simply cannot wait to watch all the ice dancing segments of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
“It’s always such a thrill,” said 56-year-old mom Arlene Whittlesey, who for the past three weeks has been mentally psyching herself up to watch the intricate footwork, stupendous lifts and breathtaking choreography featured in the Olympic ice dancing events. “I usually prefer the slow, waltzy dances, but the jazzy, upbeat numbers are also fun and really get the crowd going.”
“And don’t even get me started on the costumes!” she added while highlighting the schedule of Sochi figure skating events on her 2014 calendar of Cats Dressed Like Famous Celebrities.
Mothers across the nation told sources that although they would be disappointed once the Winter Games come to a close on February 23rd, at least they could immediately start looking forward to watching all the rhythmic gymnastics events at the Summer Olympic Games in 2016.
