MONTREAL – After announcing the extension of the Montreal Metro’s Blue Line, the PQ provincial government and Société de transport de Montréal announced that new stations will be named after non-religious, Catholic saints.
“These new metro stations must comply with the provincial secular values” Minister of Transportation Sylvain Gaudreault announced yesterday. “Therefore, they must be named after more secular saints.”
The new stations will be named after less-religious holy people including Saint Pauline the patron saint of impartiality.
