TORONTO – A month-long awareness raising campaign reached its goal of spreading awareness this morning.
“Thanks to all our amazing sponsors, staff and incredible volunteers, our ‘Hope for Tomorrow’ campaign was truly successful in raising awareness,” said Cindy Abcott, the campaign’s national director.
“We did it!” she added, teary-eyed.
Throughout the 30-days of campaigning, countless individuals participated in walks, runs, postering, and other initiatives to spread the message they hope will one day inspire change.
“I’m doing this for my kids so one day they will also know what I know,” said one volunteer as she handed out bracelets containing the campaign’s slogan, ‘be aware.’
“We’ve all done such a wonderful job getting the word out,” another volunteer said. “Today we changed the world!”
At press time, everyone involved packed up their signs, drove home, and went back to their regular routines.
