Canadian spends day mentioning they’d vote Democrat if they could

Windsor, ON – Canadian citizen Heather Kelly announced today on her Threads account that in this year’s midterm elections she would absolutely vote for the Democrats if she could.

“Cheering you on from Canada!” wrote Kelly in a reply to a post from Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico. “I can’t vote for you but I would if I could! Everyone in Canada is rooting for you!” Kelly’s friend Michelle McEwan replied to the comment asking why Obama couldn’t just be President for the rest of his life.

Kelly, a lifelong citizen and resident of Canada, simply doesn’t understand how anybody could vote for the Republicans, saying so in the comments section of an Instagram post from Democratic candidate for Michigan Governor Jocelyn Benson, along with three blue dot emojis and two tsunami emojis. In a reply to Kelly’s comment, Instagram user VoteBlueForTheFuture apologized “on behalf of all America” for how their government is treating Canada. Fellow commenter still_with_her expressed envy for Canadian politics, asking if Justin Trudeau could be the President of the United States once he is “done with being the President of Canada.”

A Facebook account attributed to Kelly expressed her support for Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, saying that she hopes he can deliver universal healthcare “like we have here in Canada,” adding that it is such a shame how so many Americans fall into debt because of illness. That post was immediately followed by one telling the story of how she just had to pay $2300 out of pocket for emergency dental surgery on an impacted molar.

At press time, Kelly’s husband Gord confirmed that they remain firm supporters of Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre.
