VANCOUVER – When confronted by Canadian authorities this morning regarding reports that it had been seen smoking in massive quantities throughout the week, British Columbia sheepishly mumbled that it had actually just been holding the smoke for a friend.
When officials pressed the cowed province on details regarding this so-called friend, and why they hadn’t come to take their smoke back for over a week, British Columbia insisted that the friend was real.
“They’ve just been going through a lot lately. Trouble at home, you know?” BC gestured meaningfully here, clearly hoping to garner sympathy on behalf of its irresponsible friend.
Locals familiar with British Columbia know to see past the image of an innocent province led astray by a wayward neighbour as BC itself has been smoking excessively since 2014.
