Justin Trudeau misses budget vote while staring at his own reflection

OTTAWA – missed a crucial vote on the proposed Liberal budget this morning after the Prime Minister spent too long staring at himself in the bathroom mirror again.

“I apologize to my colleagues and to the Speaker,” said Trudeau at a press conference called to address the issue. “It’s just that, when I’m getting ready and I see the way my hair shines in the light, or I notice the shimmering blue swimming pool that is my eyes, it feels like there are more important things to worry about than infrastructure investment.”

“Sometimes I wonder how any of you ever get anything done, given that you can look at me anytime you want,” Trudeau added as he caught a glimpse of himself in the camera lens.

Liberal insiders say they are disappointed but not surprised by the PM’s actions.

“Honestly, this is going to happen a lot. I heard he once spent 48 straight hours in a Kelsey’s after he discovered how soft the bathroom lighting was” said house leader .

At press time the PMO has assured Canadians that for his own Justin will be kept away from any pond in which he may catch a glimpse of himself.
