Local woman trying to break it off gently with LUSH employee

– Despite being together for the past 3 years, civil engineer Hannah Stussman has decided to end her customer/sales ambassador relationship with employee Mariam Hadaddi.

“It started innocently enough,” said Stussman. “I would come in for a bomb and Mariam would find me and mention how much she also enjoyed bath bombs. We would connect in those small, meaningful ways.”

But the couple have encountered problems when Stussman overheard Hadaddi complimenting another customer. “At the beginning when Mariam would admire my jacket or shoes as soon as I’d walk through the door, I would believe her. But that’s all changed now. I heard her saying those same generic things to someone else.”

Hadaddi vehemently denied all allegations of infidelity, “I would never compromise what Hannah and I have. What she saw was a total misunderstanding. I make small talk with those other customers, but with Hannah, I got to know her deeply. What her fears and insecurities were, what her favourite scent of shower gel was.”

“It just feels so transactionary now,” Stussman angrily retorted. “She’s always trying to sell me on something. She wants to change me with lotions and exfoliants; she’s never happy with who I am.”

As a gesture of good faith, Haddadi offered Stussman as many samples as she wanted, no purchase necessary. But at that that point, Stussman had completely transitioned to shopping online from Lush’s website.
