OTTAWA – In an effort to get Canadians accustomed to his name, the Official Opposition Leader who replaced the late Jack Layton will now be wearing a name tag during working hours.
“Canadians deserve to know who their leaders are,” said the bearded NDP leader possibly named Tim or Tobey. “This is why I will make sure half of Canadians know my last name by 2016 and my full name by 2020. It all starts with this name tag.”
Canadians were happy to see that the man with the not-so-memorable title is reaching out to them by openly displaying his moniker.
“This is a great, transparent step by the NDP to avoid awkward moments in conversations,” said Anie LaRoche of Sudbury. “That’s why I’m considering voting for, uh…”
“Oh shit, what’s his name again?”
The NDP Leader’s press conference was cut short after a reported sighting of Justin Trudeau’s administrative assistant.
