WINKLER, MN – Incorrectly thinking that he had let it sit on his plate for a long enough time, Winkler resident Fred Collins was burned by a pork dumpling at dinnertime.
“I was hungry, and I thought it was ready,” said Collins, who now has a burn on his tongue the size of a dumpling.
Sources allege that when Collins realized what had happened, he started panting and urgently swirling water around his mouth.
At press time, the rest of the dumplings on Collins’ plate were already cold and needed reheating.
