Scouts cautioned not to feed wild animals hungry for votes

COMOX, BC — have reminded all members that they should never approach or feed wild politicians.

The announcement comes after a close call for three scouts who came very near to a vote-hungry and powerful politician in his natural settings.

“This is voting season, which makes it particularly dangerous for anyone to come near a candidate running for public office,” cautioned Scouts Canada Scoutmaster Dan Turner. “You may never know when this species might suddenly attack you with a mauling smear. We have advised our scouts to be cautious whenever they’re near a podium or near a campaign office den.”

Scouts Canada also warns that the politician is very territorial within its riding and can be tracked by lawn signs and canvassers.

The organization’s Guide to Politician Safety states: “If you are ever approached by a politician, remain calm, ignore what it is saying, nod your head and slowly walk away while making eye contact. If the politician tries to engage in conversation with you, play apathetic.”
