BOWMANVILLE, ON – Long time Harvey’s employee Rick Mauran is facing an internal employment review, and possible disciplinary action, after he refused to make a burger to customer Stephanie Harris’ exact “stupid fucking” specifications.
“She asked me for two tomatoes, each of which had to contain exactly 27 seeds, and then demanded I use my left hand only to drain the juice from a hot pepper onto her bun and throw it away,” explained Mauran. “I could handle most of her requests but when she asked me if the lettuce was gluten free and demanded I pour an entire tube of mayonnaise onto her junior cheeseburger, that’s when I lost it and threw the damn burger into the garbage.”
“I know the commercial says we have to make the burger however you want it,” Mauran added. “But there are limits no decent human being should have to cross. Especially when the customer is a 5 out of 10 at best.”
A representative at Harvey’s head office confirmed it was the company’s official policy to only make weird burgers for good looking customers.
