Community not sure about dentist who works from home

, ON – Community members are searching for a new , now that Dr. Teske has started seeing patients exclusively in his at-home clinic.

“Dr. Teske’s a good dentist, but I’m done pretending that I’m fine about crossing his bedroom just to have my teeth cleaned.” said man Rick Taylor, while scanning dentist reviews on Yelp. “Last time I had a filling, his wife was just in the room reading a book in her pyjamas like it was completely normal. It was not normal.”

While there are many elements of the home dental office that disturb Taylor– including the house smell (‘like ranch dressing on a hot summer day’), the dog eared copy of Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader in the shared bathroom, and Teske’s 89 year-old mother who who always insists on giving him a ziplock bag of her bitter nettle soup– what really put him over the edge was how something always felt off about getting medical procedures in a family’s rumpus room.

And then there are the family dynamics.

“The last time I was there his kid had a full blown meltdown about his math homework or whatever, and Teske just started yelling at him while simultaneously poking around my mouth with that hook thing. It was messed up.”

Taylor hopes to find a replacement soon so that he can stop avoiding calls from Teske’s office.

“I guess his wife doubles as his receptionist, which is sweet and fine, but sometimes I swear she’s making phone calls from bed, which again feels way too intimate.”

At press time Taylor was looking into finding a new doctor after receiving a friend request from him on Facebook.
