WELLAND – Canada’s most addictive street drug is increasing in price by ten cents worrying many public health experts and addicts.
“I get a hit at least twice a day,” said Joe Kuharchuk, a local addict who spends about $16 a week to support his habit. “It’s the quick rush I get out of a large double-double that keeps me going. But now my dealer is demanding more per hit. That’s going to cost me like…$17 a week.”
According to sources, Tims dealers claim it’s more expensive to push their products all the way from Colombia.
