MONTREAL – A confused and deleterious Martin Hastings was demanding people advise him where and when he was after being unconscious for a full half an hour.
“We’re sharing a hotel room while we’re in town and Martin asked me to wake him in thirty minutes,” said friend Logan Erickson. “But when I nudged him his eyes open wide, he grabbed my arm and screamed ‘who are you?’”
“In fairness it had gotten dark out while he was asleep.”
Hastings proceed to run into the bathroom and lock the door while shouting questions such as ‘who is the President?’ ‘Why am I in a hotel’ and ‘what’s my name?’ to a shocked Erickson.
“I think I have a wife. I see images of red hair and soft lips. But it all feels like it was from so long ago. Was I frozen in carbonite or something?” Asked Hastings.
Gradually, as his eyes adjusted to the light and his blood pressure slowed Hastings’ memories began to return. Within a few hours he was almost himself again. Of course by that point he was very tired from all the excitement and needed to go to sleep.
