Only one day after Donald Trump’s inauguration, several members of the U.S. Joint Chiefs Of Staff were spotted today at a Washington area Barnes and Nobel purchasing a copy of “How To Stage A Military Coup For Dummies.”
“Oh hey Paul, what are you doing here,” inquired Chairman Joseph Dunford as he hid his copy of the book behind his back.
“Nothing! Just… nothing,” replied vice-chair Paul Selva as he acted like he was browsing the romance section.
At the same time, Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Mark A Milley was overheard in his office asking Siri “What is the 2016 Turkish Coup D’Etat and did it work?”
When questioned about their actions, the seven senior leaders of the Department of Defense became evasive, looked at their shoes and muttered something about preventing the death of the American experiment before Googling if Idi Amin was still alive and if he might have some pointers.
