CALGARY – The people of Alberta have announced their own war room which hopes to get the provincial government to take COVID-19 seriously.
The new lobby organization, the Alberta People Centre, will employ a similar strategy to Alberta’s energy war room, but instead of advocating for the narrow self-interests of oil executives, the centre will advocate for citizen survival.
“We need to set the record straight,” said spokesperson Harold Krahn who expressed his desire to keep living. “COVID-19 is a bad thing despite what some in the Alberta government have said.”
Krahn said that his organization will also provide dictionary definitions of terms such as “enforcement” and “accountability” to decision makers.
The grassroots campaign will promote science-friendly news articles which encourages governments to take action in an effort to persuade policy makers that sick and dying people are not good things.
However, the organization has been accused of having a clear anti-COVID bias.
Meanwhile, Premier Jason Kenney was too busy obsessing over hidden environmental messages in children’s movies to do anything about illegal rodeos.
