CALGARY – A new set of ads released by Alberta’s tourism agency is wooing tourists to visit the province’s decaying public health care system.
Striking support workers, exhausted nurses, and a Health Minister who can be heard yelling at doctors are just some of the sites and sounds of Canada’s Wild West.
Jason Kenney’s UCP government has already received a UNESCO World Heritage designation for being “uniquely stupid” to make cuts during a global pandemic.
“Come see a government that allows viruses to run freely in its natural state,” declared the one-minute promotional advertising showcasing a wild herd of disease-carrying hosts. “Marvel at the cloudy peaks of our epi curves that seem to be getting higher and higher. There’s no place like it!”
Nature enthusiasts may catch a glimpse of a rare species like a doctor who isn’t planning on moving out of province.
“You better come soon though,” warns the ad, “before universal basic health care disappears like a glacier at Banff National Park.”
