TORONTO – Trying hard to make ends meet, the CBC has agreed to allow Conservative Party leadership candidate Kellie Leitch to run two weeks worth of advertising calling for the elimination of the CBC.
“I really wish we didn’t have to do this, but we could really use the $500,” explained John Aldershot, Director of Revenue Optimization for the news website. “The 1,500 people that were laid off back in 2014 haven’t returned, our last five interns died of exhaustion, and I work three other part-time jobs.”
The CBC says it’s working hard to make up for lost revenue by looking into alternative advertising including ones that calls the network an “expensive, state-sponsored terror propaganda machine.”
