VATICAN CITY – Pope Benedict XVI announced his intention to resign from the Papacy on Sunday, and sources close to the Pope are saying he’s excited to spend more time with kids.
“He’s got a lot of experience dealing with young kids,” a source close to the Pope has said. “They just seem to be drawn to him. There’s been some talk of him working closely with Boy Scouts of America.”
“He’s looking forward to doing more hands-on work children,” the source added.
The Pope appeared briefly to announce his intended resignation. Then he stared dreamily into the distance and salivated.
