TORONTO – CBC journalist and host of Power and Politics Evan Solomon was fired today after the CBC determined that his scandal was far too dull and lacked a sufficient amount of sex, drugs or criminal activity.
“Mr. Solomon did not meet our interest in conflict policies,” said CBC executive Kate Stannard in a statement today. “We maintain a high standard of misdeeds and salacious activities for our journalists and executives. Art dealership is, by far, one of the least interesting and least tolerated activities for a scandal. CBC had no other choice but to terminate our agreement with Mr. Solomon.”
CBC said they might have kept Solomon on as a journalist had he slept with a high ranking politician, dealt cocaine to minors or had a weird fetish involving animals.
“We’re trying to attract more people to the CBC with high-level and thought provoking infamy; not stories about selling boring paintings,” added a disgusted Stannard.
