MONTREAL – Montreal is experiencing whiteout conditions at Mayor Valérie Plante’s executive committee causing visibility problems for 30% of the city’s population.
Meteorologists say that Quebec’s largest city will continue to be pounded with heavy whiteness and say there’s a 100% chance of the mayor trying to justify an Italian executive council member as a possible visible minority.
“A person of colour will not be visible in the executive council for the next three-to-four years,” predicted Marie Lagace, an Environment Canada meteorologist. “If you’re not white, the political environment may be very cold to you, so bundle up and try not to let the police racially profile you.”
At press time, Montreal’s first female mayor was praising her gender-parity cabinet for its diversity in haircuts.
