TORONTO – The First Annual Beaverton Book Awards was handed out last night with The Beaverton Presents Glorious and/or Free: The True History of Canada. winning all 25 categories.
The award-winning work detailing Canada’s past through The Beaverton’s iconic lens is the first of its kind to win in both nonfiction and fiction categories.
“Luke and I are humbled to accept this distinguished honour from our organization,” said co-author Alex Huntley at a gala last night while holding Beavies for science fiction, lifetime achievement, and best up-and-coming textbook.
The judges described the masterpiece as “an adventure in sheer wit” and “the best erotic self-help book about Canadian history out there.”
‘Glorious and/or Free’ beat out all the other books that are not worth mentioning at this time.
Less famous authors who did not win any Beavies such as Margaret Atwood, Lawrence Hill, and Michael Redhill presumably took to Twitter to congratulate the authors for their success.
