VANCOUVER – Spirits were high at the BC Children’s Hospital this week when actor Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance fully made up and in costume as the man who abused Amber Heard.
The 52-year-old Hollywood A-lister spent upwards of five hours selflessly standing and sitting in rooms full of jubilant sick children, not once breaking character as the man who threw a phone at Amber Heard’s face, leaving a grizzly impact mark.
“It’s just truly wonderful,” ecstatic mother Sandra Gifford told reporters, tears of gratitude forming in her eyes, “the children and nurses, many of whom are girls and women, are just overwhelmed with respect and appreciation for this kind, kind man.”
This isn’t the first time Depp has made a public appearance as the man who tried to silence and discredit a woman he’d victimized. Lucky guests at Disneyland can also sometimes spot him amid the animatronic buccaneers of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, where he is presumably hiding from his immense well of shame and self-hatred.
