TORONTO – In what is being called an exciting artistic experiment, beloved author Margaret Atwood has released a new work to be placed in a time capsule where it, like the thousands of the beloved author’s other books placed prominently on shelves, coffee tables, and nightstands across Canada, will remain unread for 100 years.
Spokesperson for the project Harold Wilp stated that, “The importance of letting the work speak for itself, rather than relying on layer after layer of historical interpretations, is key. By allowing this book, like Ms. Atwood’s other books, to remain unread by the general population, it will take on a unique cultural significance for future generations.”
When asked which of Atwood’s other works was most significant to him, Wilp responded, “Uh the one with the flood–no, the one with the red riding hood on the cover.”
