CALGARY – A Calgary woman has been offered a $6 million Twitter deal following years of successfully self-publishing in the book industry.
“Matha Stanford’s witty, quirky 140 page novellas about raising Flemish rabbits while dealing with her husband’s habit of defenestration is exactly the kind of thing that Twitter users would get a kick out of,” an editor for the publishing giant Twitter said in a press release. “We’re looking forward to helping adapt her body of work into approximately 72,456 Twitter posts.” Stanford says she has not been this thrilled since she set up a “WordPress” and received a comment on one of her posts.
