MONTREAL – Former Montreal mayor Michael Applebaum said he will use his generous severance pay from the City of Montreal to invest in a local engineering and construction firm.
“I’m happy to invest my earnings in a reputable, scandal-free enterprise” said Applebaum while cracking a suspicious smile. “Many of my closest friends inform me that this is a wildly profitable business to invest in.”
Applebaum said that with this sound venture, he will be able to retire in a nice minimum security villa for the next five to ten years.
