TORONTO – With Daylight Savings rolling clocks back an hour the same night as the Blue Jays face off against the L.A. Dodgers in a climactic World Series Game 7, Canadian baseball fans are confident that, win or lose, that extra hour of sleep is going to be “super necessary”.
“If they win, I’m gonna go march through the streets until the sun comes up,” notes lifelong Jays booster Jayden Fairbanks, 45. “If they lose, I’m gonna drink every drop of alcohol in the house until I black out.”
“Either way,” Fairbanks adds, “I’m sleeping in until way past church tomorrow morning, so an extra hour will really help that.”
Fans note that the scheduled Fall time adjustment coinciding with Game 7 will hopefully soothe the citywide case of anxiety currently gripping Toronto, as well as much of Canada.
At press time, Toronto baseball fans were warning both teams not to use up the extra hour “by pulling any more of that extra-innings Game 3 crap.”
