SASKATOON – An avalanche of texts from Alisha Kostyshyn was sent to her friend today to convey the question “what are you up to tonight?”
Clarissa Hamilton’s smart phone unnecessarily vibrated dozens of times as it received a barrage of messages detailing the simple inquiry featuring 25 emojis and over four dozen exclamation points void of context.
“I usually wait about half-an-hour before replying so she sees my response and not caught in the whirlwind,” said Hamilton whose phone has not stopped buzzing for five minutes. “I thought someone in my family died until I realized it was Alisha again.”
Hamilton now has the difficult task of deciphering the message.
