OTTAWA – Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport Lisa MacLeod has apologized to Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk for mistaking him for any parent of a child with autism.
“I apologized to him for being so blunt and assumed he was complaining about the cuts we made to services,” said MacLeod. “I only reserve the phrase “I am your minister and you’re a fuckinging piece of shit and you’re a fucking loser” for parents complaining about our new policies and programs while dozens of autism specialists have been laid-off due to cuts. I would have never said something like that to the most hated man in Ottawa.
“Oh, and Go Sens Go,” she added.
When asked about the recently demoted minister’s comment “Do you know who I am?” MacLeod explained that she shouldn’t have to wait outside backstage like some of the 23,000 kids waiting for autism services.
