THE INTERNET – After director Paul Feig announced that his Ghostbusters reboot would feature an all-female cast of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, many fans of the 1980s Bill Murray franchise took to social media to make clear that ghosts are not the problem, ghosts and actresses with lady parts are the problem.
“Yoooo this is BULLshit! Venkman’s attitude and character traits are clearly male. Him being a woman doesn’t make any sense,” said @frankthetank42 about a movie series where ghosts are real.
“So what now its going to be ‘If someone asks you if you’re a goddess, say yes’?” said another human who thought he was making some kind of point.
At press time a new commentator was just about to write a long post about the Ghostbusters using “Oprah and feelings” to capture the ghosts, but then he remembered that it was just a fucking movie and who gives a fuck, you know?
