São Paulo, BRAZIL – Brazilian football sensation Neymar suffered another setback yesterday after the forward injured his fourth vertebrae helping his father carry large bags of cash.
Neymar, who had four goals in the World Cup before he was kneed in the back during the quarter finals fracturing his third vertebrae, was said to be lifting heavy bags of cash into the FIFA executive megayacht at his father’s request when the injury to his fourth vertebrae occurred.
“This is truly an unfortunate situation,” said Neymar’s father who has been accused in an the illegal scam involving the resale of World Cup tickets. “I told the FIFA executives only $250,000 per bag, but did they listen? My son didn’t even see it coming. It was a cowardly act.”
Without the presence of Neymar, his father doesn’t know how he’ll be able to transport all of this cash to an offshore account.
“I think this was done intentionally,” Neymar’s father added.
At press time, FIFA was still looking for a scapegoat.
