TORONTO – Immediately following the ruling finding him in violation of the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, Rob Ford jumped from his seat, rushed the bench, and tackled the judge, causing a fumble of the gavel.
The 300-pound Ford broke past the blocking attempts of court reporters and registrars on his way to making the tackle. He was able to retrieve the gavel which he then ran back over 95 yards to City Hall.
“The ruling doesn’t count if he didn’t get to bang the gavel right?” asked the former Mayor as he ran.
Ford’s run culminated with him spiking the gavel in defiance on the marble foyer outside his office while screaming, “how’s this for a conflict of interest your honour!”
