Stoney Creek, ON – A local 5-year old boy disappointed his parents by giving them a poor artistic depiction of the family.
Tommy Cobbler finished the work in his senior kindergarten class and promptly showed the shabby work.
“The conception was really poor,” explained his father Fred. “Our house looks nothing like the shoe box piece of crap Tommy designed. And I’ve never owned a brown shirt in my life.”
His mother Tina was similarly unimpressed.
“A crayon portrait? Could you get any more clichéd? It looked nothing like us. My arms are not ten feet long and my eyes are not blue. It’s like Tommy doesn’t even know me.”
Although the couple was thoroughly let down by the work, they feigned appreciation for the sake of Tommy’s self-esteem.
“We lied, told him we were very proud and hung it up on the fridge,” Fred lamented while trying not to look at the abomination his son created. “We appreciated the effort, but let’s just say were not expecting big things from him anymore.”
