Interracial couple so pleased you interrupted their dinner to call them beautiful

OTTAWA — Following a pleasant date night at their favourite local restaurant, interracial Scott Walters and Tara Miller wanted to say how delighted they are that you interrupted their to call them beautiful.

’s rare that we, an interracial couple, get noticed in public,” said Miller, who is black, “So it’s a real treat to have someone not only take notice but actually say something about it!”

“When you added that you thought mixed babies were way cuter than ‘regular babies’ we realized what a truly person you are.”

The couple also clearly appreciated hearing your stories about your experience a Latino person, as well as your with a Chinese neighbour.

Walters added that “Like most people, I love interacting with strangers. But nobody ever commented about my previous, non-interracial , so this is a fun new experience for me.”

The couple then recounted how your encouraging words convinced them to stay together in the face of society’s adversity, as they now know there are still some good people left in the world.

Both Miller and Walters ended their comments by addressing anyone who had ever told them they were solving racism: “No, you are!”
