OTTAWA – Members of the Canadian Senate were impressed to see the Senate Chambers for the first time during the Speech from the Throne early today.
“It’s all red!” said an amazed Janis Johnson, who has been a senator since 1990. “Who would have thunk it?”
Senators were impressed by the unique architecture, large paintings depicting the Great War and comfortable chairs.
“It looks like one of my three houses” added Senator Pamela Wallin.
