If you reside in Québec or the Maritime provinces, it’s time to take out your windbreaker and check your umbrella for crooked spokes, because a large air mass of civic malfeasance is moving your way.
Environment Canada issued a fraud warning for Montréal yesterday afternoon after the Doppler radar registered a shift in the city’s political climate. Back in May, the weather system brought shadiness, severe political storms and high barometric lobbying pressure to Toronto and Mississauga, flooding the cities with media attention.
Storms are expected to clear next electoral cycle, resulting in improved visibility into governmental affairs. While residents should expect a lot of hot air to be spewed as usual, the next few years will hopefully be less clouded by jobbery and dishonesty.
