TORONTO – Feeling the need to get a head start on traffic and line-ups, over half the city of Toronto began driving to Canada’s Wonderland this Sunday, three-weeks in advance of its opening.
“This year we’re hoping if we leave really early to beat the rush we’ll get to go on three rides and still have time to eat a $12 slice of pizza! I can feel it,” said local dad Al Swanson.
“My kids have been looking forward to visiting the amusement park, doing one ride on the teacups, and having plenty of time left to spend a couple of hours in the SpongeBob thing line-up,” he added. “Last year we had to give up after three hours because my wife [Marry] got a headache and we ran out of Tylenol, but I’m sure this year we’ll be able to get through in less time if we leave the house right now.”
At press time, the weather network was calling for rain on the day you’re planning to go to Wonderland.
