LONDON – In what can only be described as a bizarre coincidence, a local Yeti managed to photograph prolific and anonymous English graffiti artist Banksy in London’s West End.
“It was just a bit of dumb luck, to be honest,” Yeti explained. “I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I’m glad though. I’m kind of a huge fan.” Yeti acted quickly, snapping a photograph of the mysterious artist.
“The flash went off, he turned around, and he ran into an alleyway. He didn’t have his face covered but I couldn’t take another picture fast enough.”
When asked to describe what Banksy looked like, Yeti was vague. “Well, it was really dark. He was a large man. But then again he could have been small. It was hard to tell from where I was standing. I was far away.”
Photography expert Lydia Watson, from The Victoria and Albert Museum, examined Yeti’s photo and expressed doubts as to its authenticity. “This photograph is obviously a hoax. He must have gotten one of his friends to pose for it. Furthermore, his thumb is covering part of the photo. This is just another case of a Yeti looking to receive a little attention.”
Yeti denies allegations that the photograph is a fake. “I can’t help it if I have large hands. I’m a Yeti! And I think I have better things to do with my time than perpetuate conspiracy theories.”
