TORONTO – A second year history student at the University of Toronto is upset to hear that the university’s TA strike is preventing him from not attending his weekly tutorials.
“This is so stupid,” said Tyler Markenson rolling out of bed at 10:15. “I couldn’t even go to my 8:30 Irish History tutorial even if I wanted to. These TAs have no appreciation for the experience they’re getting wondering who I am. They don’t deserve more money for that.”
Markenson also expressed his concerns about how he will be unable to make up excuses to his TAs for last-minute deadline extensions on essays and assignments.
“Now they won’t even hear the improbable excuses I have to make up for submitting a late essay,” added Markenson who was busy playing Call of Duty. “If I don’t practice making up preposterous excuses for my poor work now, how will I be able to under-perform to the best of my abilities when I enter the workforce?”
At press time, Markenson was sure he would get a stellar mark or would complain if he didn’t get it.
