MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin is vowing a complete and thorough cover-up into the assassination of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov using all of the Russian state security and police forces at his disposal.
“The Russian people are fully confident in my abilities to deceive them,” Putin said in a press conference at the Kremlin, less than a kilometer from the murder scene. “Any trace of incriminating evidence that I ordered the FSB to kill him will be collected and disposed of immediately.”
Demonstrating the investigation’s transparency, Putin explained that he will personally collect all videos and recordings of the event and doctor them accordingly.
“All witnesses will be interviewed by police and their testimony will be carefully examined and altered according to a pre-determined narrative,” Putin added.
According to sources, Putin hasn’t decided if Nemtsov was killed by the Ukrainians, Chechens, the West or gay people.
