DETROIT – In a show of corporate and community involvement, the Little Caesar’s pizza chain in Detroit will be hosting blood drives during the Ides of March.
“Anyone who comes in during the Ides of March and donates blood will receive a free small pizza and a laurel,” said Charlie Andrews the manager at store #141. “This is just another way that Little Caesar’s is giving back to the community in this totally original initiative.”
“The store’s assistant manager Brutus McSweeney proposed the idea at a board meeting and we just couldn’t say no,” Andrews said, pointing to a blushing McSweeney who was lurking quietly behind Andrews with a pizza cutter. “Where would Little Caesar’s be without you Brutus?”
When asked if Little Caesar’s would be doing anything to help obesity groups or those afflicted with Type 2 Diabetes, Andrews offered: “party pizza and a 2 litre soft drink.”
