HALIFAX – Nova Scotians headed to the polls to elect a person that will never be heard from again by anyone outside of the province.
The vast, uninterested masses of Canadians, will go back to ignoring Nova Scotia politics, even if they happened to accidentally learn some in the first place.
“I think there’s a guy named McNeil,” said Jonathan Granby from Brandon, MB. “I assume he is related to Rita, right? I’m pretty sure she was from Nova Scotia?”
Stephen McNeil, Nova Scotia Liberal Leader, knows that this misallocation of his last name is the only thing known about him outside the province.
“Well, unfortunately I am in no way related to the patron saint of Cape Breton,” McNeil stated. “I wish.”
Darrell Dexter, leader of the New Democrats and main competitor to McNeil in the polls, has stated that the ending of the TV series ‘Dexter,’ and the lack of enthusiasm surrounding its’ finale, has damaged his public profile.
People were really depressed after the series ended,” Dexter complained to a small group of students outside a rowing club, who posted personal best times escaping the impromptu news conferences. “Also, being linked with a serial killer might not be the best thing for popular opinion, despite how successful he was in his chosen field.”
One of these two men will be the next premier of Nova Scotia. Now that you know that you can immediately forget it, because unless you live in Nova Scotia it will not impact your life what-so-ever.
