TORONTO, ON – As the Toronto International Film Festival gets underway, more and more celebrities have been spotted outside of City Hall, hoping for a glimpse of the city’s most famous citizen.
“I don’t even need to meet him or anything, I just want to see him,” said Academy Award-nominated actor Jude Law. “Just to be in the city where the legend lives and works is electrifying.”
Some celebrities, however, are not satisfied with waiting in line just for a glimpse. George Clooney has been spotted camping out on the Mayor’s Etobicoke front lawn, and Nicolas Cage has purchased the entire housing complex wherein Ford’s alleged crack dealers reside, hoping to snap a picture.
“What the man does in front of a camera is inspired,” said Academy Award-winner, Philip Seymour Hoffman, “But what he does when he walks into one is genius.”
Not to be outdone, James Franco has announced his desire to write, star, direct, and compose the score in a film based on Ford’s life, playing both Rob and Doug Ford. “I just hope it’s true what they say, about the camera adding ten pounds,” Franco said. “I’ve been getting really method about this guy.”
At press time, Ford’s latest film has still yet to see wide release.
