LONDON, ON – The federal Liberal leadership race is about bringing “fresh ideas and fresher beats,” said Justin Trudeau to supporters at an event on Monday.
The charismatic Liberal MP from Papipeau, QC who has been criticized for lacking substance and for providing little insight into his vision for Canada, acknowledged that bold changes in philosophy and policy may be required to address issues facing the country, but only after developing “all kinds of spine-tingling beats, funky tracks with boomin’ bass lines and all kinds of crazy horn samples.” He then implored the crowd to “put their motherfucking hands up one time.”
“Straight up, ideas were for my dad’s generation. I’m calling on Canadians of all lifestyles, as well as Liberal party members and delegates, MCs, DJs, breakers, graffers. And if that corny-ass fool Marc Garneau doesn’t like it he can step up on the mic and take me on!” said Trudeau as Maestro Fresh Wes’ Canadian hip-hop classic “Let your backbone slide” played in the background.
Former MP and candidate Martin Cauchon responded by taking a jab at Trudeau’s lack of experience, recalling 2008, when the rookie MP was schooled in a freestyle cipher by Olivia Chow.
Trudeau dismissed these remarks as “fronting and hating.” He then responded by beat-boxing for eighteen-hours without break.
