OTTAWA – According to a recent internal review, the Canada Revenue Agency’s tax answers to customers have not been mathematically accurate “110% of the time.”
“It would seem highly improbable, but yes, we are experiencing a slight aberration in our efficiency,” stated Senior-Vice Accountant Michael Bui. “We apologize to all Canadians, and promise to have our miscalculations back down to -0.”
Bui also assured that he will personally lead the team in charge of rectifying said oversights, once his agents have returned from their math classes at Kumon.
“Overall mathematical accuracy has improved since I taught them to remove their shoes to count higher,” Bui added.
He then excused himself to consult the back of his grade 12 mathematics textbook.
At press time, several agents were seen giggling when one of their corrective calculations came out to be ‘80085.’
