VANCOUVER – A homeless man who was doused by water by a Tim Hortons owner is relieved at not having been exposed to the chain’s brown caffeinated water.
“Sure, I’ve suffered the indignity of having water poured on me by a businessman who thought he owned the sidewalk,” the man said, “but that’s nothing compared to the indignities I could have suffered inside the Timmies.”
“I mean, have you ever tasted that crap?” Bystanders took to social media to lodge their complaints about the injustice of the situation. “Can you believe that paying customers get warmed-up sewage and the man on the street–literally!–gets proper water,” read a comment on Tim Hortons’ Facebook page.
“I’ve never received my drink that promptly at Timmies’ drive-thru,” Abby Gleason vented on Twitter.
At press time, Tim Hortons was still awful and, regrettably, so too was homelessness.
