Trudeau hopes giving Parliament five week vacation will make them like him again

– Prime Minister announced today that has been doing such a great job lately, he’s rewarding them with almost five weeks of vacation and is confident this little treat is just what he needs to get back into the good graces of ’s federal legislature.

“Who doesn’t love vacations?” said, announcing the . “I mean, yeah, there’s a going on right now so there’s less fun summer stuff to do, and we’ll definitely have to address that pandemic and our shattered economy when we come back, but by then everyone will be rested and tanned and probably won’t even remember any of the current committee studies looking into student volunteer grant programs.”

While opposition parties have cried foul and accuse Trudeau of abusing prorogation in a blatant attempt to run away from his scandals, Trudeau is adamant that he is doing this for Parliament.

“Everyone deserves a break. This has been a really tough year, and rather than sit around in a stuffy chamber and argue about who committed this ethics breach and who committed that ethics breach, I think Canada’s MPs should be sitting around the pool. I’m just that kind of leader,” Trudeau said.
